Professor Sean McHugh is the head instructor and owner of the First Strike Martial Arts Academy in Kelowna B.C. He has been a Martial Arts enthusiast most of his life. At a young age Sean was inspired by Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris, which prompted him to start to learn Karate, Kung fu and Kick Boxing.

Sean remained a competitive athlete throughout high school as a provincial level wrestler. He later went on to represented the B.C. Olympic Weightlifting Team in the Canadian Winter Games. In 2001 Sean trained the Carlson Gracie Team under Master Marcus Soares and earn this Brazilian Jiu-jitsu Black Belt.  With the growth of First Strike’s BJJ team in 2017 we are affiliated with Alliance International BJJ team and are excited more than ever for the future.

Kristian Fraser – BJJ Instructor Purple Belt 4 stripes

Found BJJ through Aikido, Judo and Japanese Jiu Jitsu. Kristian received my blue belt from Professor Roy Dean of the Roy Dean Academy in Bend Oregon in 2011. I ran an affiliate program for the Roy Dean Academy out of Pense Judo and Jiu Jitsu in Pense Saskatchewan from 2011 to 2012. In 2012 Kristian found a new home at Team Infight Canada. In 2015 I was awarded a purple belt from Professor Chris Desautels and Professor Joe Bossenberry of Team Infight in Regina Saskatchewan. I’ve been told my game is “tricky”. I think this is because of my past experiences. I’m able to blend other arts into my Jiu-Jitsu. I’m very excited to share my knowledge with my new First Strike teammates. Please join me and come out for some fun training!
